A drilling rig at work in Yadavaran oil field, southwest of Iran (file photo)[/caption]Iran's North Drilling Company is in negotiations with Turkmenistan and Tunisia to conduct oil well drilling operations in the two countries, the firms managing director says.
Negotiations are underway to conduct drilling in Tunisia and Turkmenistan, Hedayatollah Khademi told reporters on Friday.
He said most oil rig equipment in Iran is provided by India and China, and noted the North Drilling Company is prepared to purchase such equipment from domestic manufacturers if they abide by international standards.
In recent years, Iran has been geared up to share its technological expertise in the energy sector with other countries.
In July 2013, the Iranian Oil Ministry announced that the country is fully prepared to build small oil refineries in other countries, saying Iran has already signed agreements with Iraq and Pakistan to build several refineries in the two countries.
In April, Irans Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Products Exporters Union said the Islamic Republic plans to construct six oil refineries in Indonesia.
According to the plan, Iran will build a heavy oil refinery with a daily production capacity of 150,000 barrels of oil in addition to five smaller refineries with daily output capacities of 30,000 to 50,000 barrels of gas condensates in the Southeastern Asian country.
