Tehran, Feb 19, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani, in a meeting with Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker Marzouq al-Qanem, underscored that solidarity among Persian Gulf countries can help restore security to the region and Persian Gulf.

?Solidarity and consolidation of relations of the Persian Gulf countries can procure the security of the Persian Gulf,? President Rouhani said.


The Iranian president pointed to terrorism as one of the serious problems of the region, and said, ?Supporting terrorism and extremist groups can eventually harm the interests of their supporters.?

The Kuwaiti parliament speaker, for his part, conveyed the warm greetings of the Kuwaiti emir, and said, ?I hereby declare the optimism of my countrymen and the people of the region towards your thoughts.?
