TEHRAN Feb 16 (Shana): The head of National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) said Iran currently does not need foreign tankers to carry its crude oil.Ali Akbar Safaei said Iran does not need foreign tankers given the capacities of Iranian tankers.
Irans crude oil exports are done currently only with the countrys tankers, he said.
Safaei said the implementation of the Geneva nuclear accord has facilitated conditions for foreign oil tankers in Iranian waters.
He said that Iran is currently exporting crude oil to China, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey and Japan.
National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and NITC have been removed from the list of US government sanctions.
The development follows the implementation of an interim nuclear accord, which was signed last November between Iran and six world powers and which took effect on January 20.
