Deputy Talal Arslan, head of the "Lebanese Democratic Party" said that "Iran plays a fundamental role in the region."
Arslan's remarks came during his meeting with the Chairman of the Iranian Shura Council, Ali Larijani in Iran. Moreover, the MP praised Iran's constructive role in helping Lebanon preserve its stability and sovereignty.

"Iran enabled the Lebanese people to overcome the ongoing crisis, especially in terms of the growth of terrorism that does not discriminate between the Lebanese," he stressed. On another note, Arslan praised Iran's support to the Syrian state and its continuous efforts to end the crisis based on a political solution. Arslan also met with the Head of the National Security of the Islamic Republic, Ali Shamkhani and discussed developments in the region and Lebanon.
