London, Jan 6, IRNA � A British parliamentary delegation including 4 deputies visits Iran to discuss parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
The British delegation includes Jack Straw, member of House of Commons and former foreign secretary from Labor Party, Lord Norman Lamont, member of House of Lords and ex-finance secretary from Conservative Party, Jeremy Corbyn from Labor Party and member of House of Commons and Ben Wallace from Conservative Party and member of House of Commons.

The visit starts on Monday January 6, 2014 and lasts for 4-days.

All members of the delegation belongs to Britain-Iran parliamentary friendship group, which has 20 members from three main British political parties: Conservative, Labor, and Liberal Democrat.

In a statement published by Jack Straw Office, he expressed hope that the delegation be able to pave way for a reciprocal visit for members of Iran-Britain friendship group.

The statement said that the visit is paid at the invitation of Iran-Britain parliamentary friendship group in Majlis.

Deputy head of Iran-Britain parliamentary friendship group Hamed Qader�Marzi said that the British delegation meets with Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and president of Iran�s Chamber of Commerce.

Britain and Iran decreased their relations to the lowest level in autumn 2011, but after recent presidential election in Iran, there has been an important development in the relations.

Following a visit between foreign ministers of Iran and Britain on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in September 2013 in New York, the two countries agreed to improve relations step by step.
