TEHRAN (FNA)- Thaiprotesters on Monday renewed their attack on the government building in Bangkok, prompting riot police to fire tear gas and stun grenades.A crowd of around 2,000 gathered near barricades erected by the authorities to stop protesters approaching Government House, Reuters reported.
The demonstrators also managed to dismantle some on Chaimaruchet Bridge, a main intersection on Sunday.
Protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban said there were no negotiations with the government and, speaking on television, called for a general strike starting on Monday. The government has reportedly deployed troops in the capital.
