TEHRAN (FNA)- Syria's Permanent Representative to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari stressed that the decisions on Syria in the report of the UN Human Rights Council were based on unilateral media information consistent with the political agendas of certain countries that do not wish welfare for the Syrian state and people.

Addressing the UN General Assembly, al-Jaafari added that these decisions did not demand an end of the terrorism practiced by the terrorist groups nor did they call for disarming them, Syrian Arab News Agency reported Wednesday.

He added that the UNHRC report ignored the economic and humanitarian situation in Syria which was affected by the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the European Union members, the US and the Arab League on the Syrian people.

Al-Jaafari pointed out that Syria is suffering a humanitarian crisis as terrorism is hitting Syria through systematic violations carried out by the foreign-backed terrorist groups.

He expressed sorrow over the Human Rights Council's ignorance of the enormous efforts exerted by the Syrian government and not mentioning the presence of the terrorist groups in its reports.

Al-Jaafari said that the Syrian government has offered all forms of cooperation to reach a solution to the crisis in Syria, but on the other hand, some countries are only desperately seeking to aggravate the political and humanitarian situation in Syria.

He considered the UN Human Rights Council's decisions as hampering the objective role played by some international sides to put an end to the crisis in Syria.
