Iran, US not to be disappointed by France unwise move

New York, Nov 11, IRNA Former US chief of staff to the then secretary of state Colin Powell, Lawrence Wilkerson has said the unwise move by France during Iran-5+1 newly-ended talks should neither disappoint Tehran nor Washington.

A vicious unity has been made between Saudi Arabia and the Zionist regime to damage nuclear talks between Iran and the sextet (US, Russia, Britain, France and China plus Germany).

The latest round of talks between the two sides were held in Geneva, Switzerland, from November 7-9.

France deal-breaking performance during the talks slowed down the trend of reaching an agreement at the end of discussions between the two sides. Therefore they decided to continue their talks on November 20.

In a recent exclusive interview with IRNA, Wilkerson, now a retired Army colonel, referred to Paris move as a blow to a positive trend.

Wilkerson stressed that Tehran and Washington should continue their efforts to reach a win-win outcome.

He said Paris was probably bribed by Riyadh, adding that since Saudi Arabia is currently angry with Washington for not attacking Syria, it has decided to bribe a member of the G5+1.

He expressed hope that in the next round of talks France would act more logically.

Wilkerson stressed that the Zionist regime, too, cannot tolerate any agreement between West and Iran and therefore would do all within its power to stop the trend.

However, Wilkerson believed that the latest talks between the two sides were successful as they had very close viewpoints and decided to continue their talks soon.
