Israels Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu[/caption]An Iranian lawmaker says the warmongering remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the UN General Assembly led to his further isolation on the world stage.
The Iranian nation does not expect Netanyahu to make positive comments on Irans nuclear [energy] program and its diplomatic successes as Netanyahu is the most staunch enemy of the Iranian administration, establishment and nation; therefore, he isolated himself more than before with his harsh remarks, said
on Wednesday.
Addressing the 68th session of the UN General Assembly on October 1, the Israeli prime minister repeated his groundless allegation that Tehran is seeking to develop nuclear weapons and said the Islamic Republic must dismantle its entire nuclear energy program.
Netanyahu also claimed that the regime will not allow Iran to get nuclear weapons, threatening, If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone.
Shafiei, who is a member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, further described Netanyahus statements as propaganda against Tehrans nuclear energy program, stressing that Iran is itself a victim of weapons of mass destruction and building nuclear weapons is against its ideological and strategic principles.
Such remarks cannot affect Tehrans future talks with the six major world powers - China, Russia, France, Britain, the US and Germany - since the roadmap for negotiations has been previously determined, added the Iranian lawmaker.
On September 26, EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherin Ashton said Iran and the six powers have agreed to meet in Geneva on October 15 and 16 for further talks on resolving the standoff over Tehran's nuclear energy program, which the US, Israel and some of their allies claim to include a non-civilian component.
Iran rejects the allegation, maintaining that as a committed signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
