TEHRAN, Sep. 29 (MNA) Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Spokesman has said Rouhani had the green light from the Islamic Republic for a talk with Obama.Mehr News quoted Seyyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini talking to Parliament official website. He made hints to phone call between Obama and Rouhani. The last-minute phone call made by Obama to our president when he was leaving the US reveals their submission for the resistance of Iranian nation against the dominance, and finally, they were forced to give in to the greatness and glory of the Iranian nation and Leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he asserted.
The Islamic Republic is waiting Wests trust-building actions
Naqavi Hosseini said that the Islamic Republic was resolved to solve its nuclear issue. Iran believes that it has moved within the international regulations in its nuclear pursuit, and that EU and the West have not dealt the issue based on justice and fairness, he said, adding that after this talk, Iranians and the Islamic Republic are waiting for trust-building actions by the West, and they should prove in action as well as in speech, that they seek negotiations to solve the issues between Iran and themselves, so that the Islamic Republic could walk in this path with confidence.
If the US and the West prove that this time as well, their actions, especially that of the US, contradicted their speech, they will never secure Iranians trust so Iran and the US relations will have heavy costs, he added.
Naqavi Hosseini also said that Rouhani had the Islamic Republics green light for talks with Obama, asserting that Rouhani acted in behalf of the Islamic Republic in the US; and if any pessimism still lingers on about the fruitfulness of the talks, it is for the US past behavior.
He called the US officials to prove that negative feedback from the inside Iran toward them was not true. In the past, we saw that Obama, or Clinton, his Secretary of State, claimed to talk with Iran, however they signed the sanctions would continue in practice, and these facts spoiled any trust by the Iranians on the US, he explained.
Obama has a tough job ahead
Naqavi Hosseini also provided comments about situation inside the US and Obamas tough job in a rapprochement with Iran. Zionist lobbies are quite active in the US, and they fear the most from any possible detente between Iran and the US, he added.
The spokesman pointed out that tension in Iran-US relations serves the Zionists interests the best. The Zionist lobby does not want the US government and president move toward solving issues with Iran, and hence, Obama has a tough job ahead, he said.
