Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said the Islamic Republic is concerned about the conflict in Egypt, which has left scores dead in the country.The Islamic Republic of Iran is very upset about the current situation in Egypt because Egypt is an outstanding country in both the Arab world and the Islamic world, Larijani said in an interview with Iran's al-Alam Arabic-language news channel on Sunday.
The Majlis speaker called for a national dialogue among different parties in the country saying Egyptians should accept that running the country is possible through coordination between different sides.
< q>Egyptian erudites, scientists, and politicians should cooperate together and Egyptians themselves should have a clear strategy to end this conflict, Larijani stated.
He added that violence seen in the country is not in the interest of the Egyptian people.
Egypt has been the scene of increasing violence since the overthrow of ousted President Mohamed Morsi by the army in early June.
The head of the Egyptian armed forces, General Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, pushed aside Morsi on July 3. He also suspended the constitution and dissolved the parliament.
Dozens of protesters, mostly Morsis supporters, have been killed or wounded during the violence that broke out after the overthrow.
