Iran slams US, UK attacks on Yemen, warns of ‘dangerous consequences’ for region

According to The Iran Project, An assistant to Iran's foreign minister and the director general for the Persian Gulf Affairs in the Iranian Foreign Ministry vehemently denounced the large-scale US-British strikes on various neighborhoods of Sana’a as efforts in support of the Zionist regime’s ongoing crimes in Gaza.

“The continuation of adventurous and aggressive attacks by the US-led coalition on Yemen’s soil are aimed at destabilizing the region and undermining the peace and ceasefire process between the groups and countries involved in the Yemeni crisis,” Mohammad Alibek said on Wednesday.

He also held the US and Britain directly responsible for any dangerous and unpredictable consequences arising from the regional situation.

“The recurrent military aggression by the United States and Britain against Yemeni territory is a clear violation of the international law and the UN Charter, and a blatant encroachment on Yemen's national sovereignty and territorial integrity,” he said.

The official said all conflicts and attacks in the West Asian region are rooted in the Zionist regime's genocidal policy in Gaza, warning about the negative consequences of the regime's warmongering and provocations for regional and international peace and security.
