According to The Iran Project, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met and held talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi during his visit to Beijing.
In this meeting, the Iranian and Chinese diplomats discussed the latest state of relations in the fields of economy, trade, investment, energy, and transportation, and ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation within the framework of the comprehensive cooperation program of the two countries.
The parties also discussed and exchanged views on the latest security and political developments in the West Asian region.
They emphasized that the Middle East belongs to the people of this region and should not become the scene of destructive interventions by actors outside the region in order to advance their geopolitical goals and ambitions.
Regarding the latest developments in Syria; they emphasized the necessity of preserving the national unity and territorial integrity of Syria and a peaceful and safe transition to a government that would be the provider of all spectrums and strata of the Syrian society.
