High time for Israel to accept defeat in Gaza after begging for truce in Lebanon: Araghchi
On Tuesday, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu finally accepted the deal, which is expected to end the regime’s months-long deadly escalation against Lebanon.
It came after a meeting of his “security cabinet” to discuss a proposal put forward by the United States and France.
In his post, the Iranian foreign minister said Netanyahu was forced to plead for a ceasefire after heavy casualties in southern Lebanon.
Over the past year, Araghchi added, the Israeli prime minister "milked US taxpayers of tens of billions of dollars to fund his war crimes" in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
