TEHRAN (FNA)- Distinguished Iranian cartoonist Kambiz Derambakhsh ranked first from among 922 participants in the 33rd Turkey International Molla Nasreddin Cartoon Contests in Istanbul.


In addition, Other Iranian cartoonists including Reza Mokhtar-Jozani, Elnaz Bahonar and Majid Amini won special prizes during the competition.

Held by the Turkish Cartoonists Association, the event featured 2,522 artworks from 60 countries, the Islamic republic news agency reported.

Derambakhsh was born in Shiraz in 1942. He is a graduate of Tehran fine Arts Academy. He has so far organized over 60 group and solo exhibitions in Iran and abroad.
