: Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development says the preliminary locating of more than five residential settlements in Tehran province has been performed.

Referring to the problems of the housing market and the accumulation of demand in Tehran province, he stated, “One of our policies to solve the housing problem in big cities, including Tehran province, is the construction of new residential settlements.
In this regard, the preliminary locating of more than five residential settlements in Tehran province has been performed, the deputy minister reiterated.
He went on to note that in today's meeting, the consultant's report was presented to review the latest situation of new residential settlements in Tehran province.
Pointing out the location and the latest progress of these settlements, the official stated, “In this meeting, the locating report of these lands was presented by the consultant and necessary decisions were made regarding the acceleration of the approval process of these lands.”
Some of these lands are in the approval stage in the Planning Council and some of them are in the approval stage in the Supreme Urban Planning Council, he added.
Considering the significance of solving the housing problem in the country and its priority, he urged continuous follow-up to speed up the approvals necessary to start executive operations in these lands.
