Iran’s trade with neighbors reaches $38 bln.

The Iran Project : The Director General of Customs of Iran has announced that the country's trade with 15 neighboring countries increased by 11.42% to reach 38 billion 628 million 390 thousand dollars in the first 8 months of the current year.

According to The Iran Project, Mohammad Rizwanifar declared that, “The weight of our country's commercial exchanges with 15 neighboring countries in first 8 months of this year was 63 million and 155 thousand tons which shows a surge of 17.21% compared to the same period last year.”

The deputy minister of economy stated that from the total commercial exchanges of our country with 15 neighboring countries in the first 8 months of this year, 18 billion 388 million 175 thousand dollars were allocated to exports and 20 billion 240 million 214 thousand dollars to imports.

The weight of Iran's exports to 15 neighboring countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, the Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, and Turkey, during this period, has grown by 20.75%, he said.

And in terms of value, it has increased by 8.76%, the official added.

During this period, the amount of imports from 15 neighboring countries shows a spike of 6.87% and 13.95% respectively in terms of weight and value, Rezvanifar reiterated.

In the 8 months of this year, among the 15 neighboring countries, Iran had the most trade exchanges with 3 countries, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan and Armenia, he concluded.
