Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Hossein Amirabdollahian has traveled to the Sultanate of Oman after a visit to Qatar.

After a series of high-profile meetings in Qatar, the Iranian foreign minister and his delegation arrived in Muscat on Tuesday evening.

In a post on his Twitter account, Amirabdollahian described the promotion of relations with neighbors as a fundamental pillar of the balanced foreign policy of Iran.

�The neighbors of Iran enjoy significant economic, trade and political capacities,� he stressed.

The top Iranian diplomat noted that he has visited Oman with the purpose of promoting the relations and pursuing the previous bilateral agreements signed by the officials of the two nations.

Also, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein AmirAbdollahian arrived in Qatar's capital, Doha, to discuss bilateral relations as well as major regional and international developments with Qatari officials.

AmirAbdollahian left Tehran for Doha late Monday on an official invitation from his counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, who is also the prime minister of Qatar.

During his visit, Iran�s top diplomat is accompanied by a delegation consisting of the foreign minister�s assistants, a member of the Iranian Parliament�s Committee on Foreign Policy and National Security, and the Foreign Ministry�s spokesman, Nasser Kan�ani.
