ISNA � Border Ports Authority of Iraq announced that it will reopen three border crossings with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The head of Iraq�s Border Ports Authority, Omar Al-Waeli denied reports about the resumption of trade activities between Iran and Iraq.

�At the request of some provinces to reopen some border crossings with Iran, the Border Ports Authority sent a letter to the Iraqi Prime Minister,� he stated.

�It was agreed to reopen Shalamcheh, Zurbatiyah, and Mandali border crossings one day a week,� Omar Al-Waeli added.

He emphasized that the decision has not been implemented so far due to non-compliance with health advice.
