IRNA � Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi called on the Sudanese parties to exercise self-restraint and avoid violence, hoping that they would pursue their demands through dialogue, interaction and peaceful channels.


Commenting on Iran�s stances regarding Sudanese developments, he said that the principled policy of the Islamic Republic is non-interference in other countries� affairs, as recent developments in Sudan are internal affairs of the country.

�Iran has always favored establishment of stability and security in Muslim countries,� he said, hoping the peace and calm will restore to the country soon.

On Thursday, Sudanese army in a statement confirmed Omar al-Bashir�s resignation after 30 years in office and declared a three-month state of emergency in the northern African country.
