IRNA - Iran�s aquatic products have a seen a rise of 40% during past four decades, the country�s agriculture minister says.

�At the beginning of the Revolution, Iran produced 32,000 tons of aquatic products. Over the last 40 years, this production rose to 1.2 million tons showing a 40 percent rise,� said Mahmoud Hojjati, Iran�s Agricultural Jihad Minister on Monday.

Shrimp farms in the southern Hormozgan Province have been expanded as has shrimp production in the area, according to the minister.
