IRNA � The 15th International Oil and Energy Exhibition opened in Kish Island late on Monday to introduce the opportunities and investment capacities of Iran.

Some 140 Iranian and foreign companies including representatives from seven countries are participating in the ongoing event.

The four-day event has put on display the latest achievements and technologies in the oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, water, electricity and renewable energies.

Specialized meetings on investment in the energy sector, analysis of world economy and knowledge-based companies engaged in the energy sector will be held on the sidelines of the scientific and economic event.

The exhibition is cosponsored by Energy Ministry, National Iranian Oil Company, National Iranian Gas Company, National Petrochemical Industries Company, National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, Society of Iranian Petroleum Industry Equipment Manufacturers, Iran Electricity Industry Syndicate as well as a number of big companies of the private sector.
