IRNA - The British Foreign Office reiterated that it has not announced its presence in Poland anti-Iranian summit yesterday posed by the US Secretary of State.

The British Foreign Ministry responded to a question by the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on confirmation of the presence or absence of a London representative at the next month summit in Poland against Iran on Saturday.

Although it is early to reach a definitive conclusion about the possibility of Britain�s pretense at the summit, the one-day delay of the Washington strategic ally, known in international relations science as having special relationship, points to the depth of the gap in foreign policy of the two sides over the issue of Iran.

Unlike the decision of the US President to leave the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action JCPOA) and to impose unilateral sanctions against Iran, Britain, along with France, Germany, China and Russia, remains committed to maintaining this agreement and is looking for a way to work through a partnership with other European partners, to implement the so-called special purpose vehicle (SPV).

Alistair Burt, the UK's deputy foreign minister for Middle East affairs, told IRNA, �The US decision to continue sanctions against Iran is a condition that other partners do not agree with. We believe that it is imperative that we keep this agreement, given that Iran and other partners have signed the deal.�

He added that London will consult with other members of the JCPOA to create financial facilities and facilitate banking activities with Iran to provide a credible mechanism.
