IRNA � Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Saturday sent a congratulatory message to the new Secretary General of Islamic Jihad Movement Ziyad al-Nakhalah on his election to post.


According to the website of Iran's embassy in Beirut, Zarif's message was handed over to al-Nakhalah by Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Jalal Firouznia.

In the meeting, the Iranian ambassador also wished quick recovery for the former secretary general of Islamic Jihad Movement Ramadan Abdullah.

Al-Nakhala, for his part thanked for the message and appreciated the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Palestinian movement.
