Iran condemns Kabul suicide bombing

IRNA Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahran Qasemi denounced suicide bombing in Kabul Monday which left dozens killed and wounded, saying that Afghanistan will be able to cleanse the country of terrorism through unity and hope in future.


He also expressed solidarity with the Afghan nation and government as well as families of the victims.

All countries and global community should help Afghan government uproot terrorism, as this will play a major role in regional and international security, he said.

The Iranian nation and government will stand by the Afghan nation on this track until peace and stability is restored to the country, he said, reaffirming Irans support to the country in its push to purge the country of terrorism.

A big explosion rocked the capital city of Kabul in Afghanistan on Monday, according to reports by Afghan news outlets.

The incident seems to have happened as a result of a car bomb, the spokesman of Ministry of Interior of Afghanistan Najib Danish was quoted by 'TOLOnews' as saying.

The explosion also inflicted damage on the buildings, he said.

The blast occurred in the wake of a popular protest against the ongoing insecurity in the city of Ghazni.
