MNA � Commander-in-Chief of the Army Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi said that manufacturing a fighter jet aircraft dubbed �Kosar� proved that sanctions are �ineffective� weapon.

He pointed to the mass production of Kosar jet fighter aircraft as a new jump in the promotion of air force�s capability of the country and said, �this valuable move proved that sanctions are �ineffective and blunt� weapons.�

Speaking in the inaugural ceremony of mass production of Kosar jet fighter aircraft and its delivery to the Army�s Air Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he seized this opportunity to express his special thanks to the talented manpower and engineers in the Ministry of Defense (MoD) who brought about a turning point in the history of country�s defense industry in manufacturing of this jet fighter in cooperation with universities and knowledge-based companies.�

For the first time in the country. country�s defense industry managed to finalize and inaugurate production line of Kowsar jet fighter aircraft, he said, adding, �inauguration of this jet fighter is a turning point and new jump in promotion of high capability of Air Force of Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran.�

Commander-in-Chief of the Army Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi stated, �relying upon its talented youth, Islamic Republic of Iran has stood firmly against cruel sanctions imposed by US on the country and managed to launch production line for manufacturing Kosar jet fighter aircraft.�
