IRNA - Iran-Britain consular meeting was held in Tehran on Tuesday in the presence of Foreign Ministry's director general for consular affairs and Britain director general for immigration affairs.

According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department, in the meeting the two sides considered and discussed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on consular and immigration cooperation, facilitating and increasing visa issuance, considering possibility for signing judicial assistance and extraditing convicts.

Cooperation in the field of fight against drug and human trafficking and organized crimes, police cooperation, accelerating informing embassies of the two countries about imprisoned citizens were among issues discussed in the meeting.
