Russia: IAEA reports shows Iran's full compliance with JCPOA

IRNA - Russia's representative to the Vienna-based international organizations Mikhail Ulyanov says the recent report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) indicated Iran's full compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

The 12th report of the IAEA which was released last Monday reiterated that Iran was abiding by its obligations under the JCPOA, he said.

In recent months, he said, Iran and the JCPOA members held a number of expert-level meetings with the last one taking place on September 11 in Vienna.

He went on to say that certain progress had been made which of course was not enough, adding that during the meetings Iranian officials sometimes spoke about commissioning a centrifuge manufacturing plant and possibility of upgrading its nuclear activities to commercial level.

Ulyanov said he regarded the Iranian officials' remarks as a message to other parties to the JCPOA that they should step up their efforts to revive the opportunities lost as a result of the US exist from the international pact.

He also said Russia had no information about whether Israel has delivered the documents it claims to have about Iran going ahead with its nuclear activities to the IAEA or not. If Israel hands over its documents the IAEA secretariat will analyze them.

In May, Prime Minister of the Zionist regime Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Israel had obtained 100,000 papers showing that Iran was continuing its nuclear activities in violation of its commitments under the JCPOA.
