IRNA � Najaf Friday prayers leader Sadruddin al-Qubanchi has said that the recent attack on Iranian consulate in Basra was clear hostility with Iraq and aimed to please the United States and Daesh terrorist group.


Al-Qubanchi made the remarks on Friday addressing a large crowd of worshippers in the Iraqi holy city of Najaf.

The cleric said that satanic hands are at work to sow the seeds of discord between the Iranian and Iraqi nations.

Hailing the vigilance of both the Iranian and Iraqi nations, al-Qubanchi said the Iranians chanted �We are brothers� to make the sedition futile.
