IRNA � The recent operation against the anti-revolutionary elements showed the IRGC preparedness, senior commander said.


This operation proved the intelligence dominance and the operational power of Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, Deputy Commander of IRGC Ground Force for Coordination Brigadier General Ali Akbar Pourjamshidian said on Monday.

He stressed that Iran's armed forces are ready to give crushing response to any type of threat.

The Iranian people and officials are vigilant vis-a-vis the enemy conspiracies and their plots will be foiled, the commander added.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps in a statement explained the missile strike on Saturday against the location and gathering of the terrorist groups commanders, and emphasized, 'The sons of the Iranian nation in the army and other armed forces and intelligence and security institutions, are determined to protect borders of Iran and prevent the repetition of evil acts by terrorists hired by the enemies by giving them harsher responses.'

Based on credible and documented reports on the operation, the terrorist hotspot for the conspiracy against Iran's national security was destroyed and tens of terrorist ringleaders and key elements were killed and wounded.
