Iran, China defense cooperation priority for both
IRNA Defense collaborations between Iran and China are on top of the relations of the two countries, the defense minister of Iran told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday.

'On this trip that was made at the invitation of the Chinese Defense Minister, I had good meetings with the defense minister and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission,' said Brigadier-General Amir Hatami.

General Hatami said that in the meetings bilateral relations, important regional and international issues, including US' repeated violation of international laws and norms that has worried the whole world were discussed.

'Iran and China are worried about the region's conditions, especially US' crisis-making in eastern and western Asia; the two countries made the necessary coordination.'

He also said that the main reason for the trip was to inspect the implementation of the agreement made in 1995, of which some parts are being implemented routinely and some have been implemented slowly.

'We had two visits to industrial and military centers and exchanged experiences.'

General Hatami also said that the commonalities the two countries have can be used to enhance ties.

Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier Amir Hatami arrived in the Chinese capital Beijing on Thursday at the head of a high-ranking delegation on the invitation of his Chinese counterpart.
