MNA � Iran�s Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi has ordered an investigation into the report of data-hijacking from encrypted messenger app Telegram by Iran�s Telecommunication Company on Monday.

Jahromi confirmed the reports in a Tweet on Monday night, saying that �in the event of an error, whether inadvertent or intentional, the Telecommunication Company of Iran will be severely penalized.� An investigation is underway.

According to the reports I have received so far, Jahromi confirmed, Iran Telecommunication Company has been involved in the changes in the network topology in Shiraz and Bushehr at 4-6 o'clock on Monday morning.

Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has been responsible for investigating the issue, he added.
