IRNA -- As Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has emerged as largest party in the general elections winning, its chairman Imran Khan in his first public address said that his party desires stronger ties with Iran.


Khan, in a speech that was broadcast via video link, said he wants better ties with neighboring Iran, adding Pakistan will play its role in resolution of the Middle East crisis.

According to unofficial results Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) is leading on 118 National Assembly seats and is likely to form next government in the country.

Former ruling party Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), trails behind with 64 seats and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), is at third spot with 43 seats.
While giving a victory speech, Imran Khan addressing the nation promised to deliver to the common people and not resort to retaliatory measures against his political rivals.

�We will introduce a system of law which will be applicable to everyone alike.� �We will build the institutions that will rectify the system of governance of the country,� he added.

�Investment will not come to Pakistan unless the system of governance in Pakistan is rectified,� Imran asserted.
The PTI chief promised to open probe into any electoral constituency following the general elections, as requested.
On the upcoming foreign policy, Imran said Pakistan is facing major challenges on the global level and said that the government will establish good relations with the neighbors, such as China. �Saudi Arabia has stood with us in all difficult times.�

He said he also wants better ties with neighboring Iran, adding Pakistan will play its role in resolution of the Middle East crisis.
�Afghanistan has a lost majorly in the war on terror,� he said. �Peace in Afghanistan will mean there will be peace in Pakistan.� He further said Pakistan may have an �open border� with Afghanistan in the days to come.

The PTI chief stressed that Pakistan and India must resolve the issue of Kashmir through talks. �We will play the role of a mediator in the Middle East.� We will opt for balanced relations with the US, he added.

Millions of registered voters flocked to polling stations across the country on Wednesday to cast their vote to elect members of National Assembly the upper house of parliament and four Provincial Assemblies.
Preliminary results clearly show that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has obtained a clear edge over other parties as results trickled in.
