IRNA � Border Guards Commander Brigadier General Qasem Rezaei said on Sunday that in a gun fight at Piranshahr border check point a member of a terrorist group who was to cross the border was gunned down and the rest fled the scene.


The confrontation occurred in Iran-Iraq zero border check point, the commander said.

During heavy exchange of fires, terrorists sustained serious casualties and losses and left a number of weaponry and ammunitions, he said.

One border guard was martyred and another one was injured in exchange of fire with the terrorists, he said.
