IRNA � I don�t know the number of visits by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to New York and don�t judge about the places, said the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.

'In his recent visit to New York, Foreign Minister Zarif visited over 30 figures, intellectuals and poetical figures from groups, including Democrats and Republicans,' said Bahram Qasemi.

Qasemi said, 'Through visits with different US media, Zarif explained Iran's views.'

Saying that Zarif had also visited former US Secretary of State John Kerry, he said, 'Kerry is figure of influence on US public opinion.'

Qasemi added that the US is not just Trump's administration; there are many other individuals that affect the decision-making in the US.'

He said that Iran Deal may have been a part of the talks of Zarif and Kerry, adding that Zarif visited the non-governmental parties. 'He visited influential figures with different viewpoints.'

There have been no talks with the governmental officials of the US, neither on this trip nor in the past, Qasemi said.
