IRNA � Iran believes that the US withdrawal from the July 2015 nuclear deal will not happen because it will dearly cost Washington, a senior Iranian lawmaker said.

If the Americans leave the Iran Deal, there will no longer be anything named JCPOA, Mojtaba Zolnouri, chairman of the Iranian Parliament's Nuclear Committee told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

After the US exit, Iran will go back to the era before the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) while Tehran will not adopt the stance which it had taken in that period, Zolnouri stressed.

US President Donald Trump is to decide on May 12 whether his country will extend suspension of anti-Iran sanctions and stay in the JCPOA or not.

Trump had already threatened that he will withdraw from the Iran Deal which the Europeans, the European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini in particular, believe that should be kept safe.

'We've shown our goodwill, but they were not loyal,' Zolnouri said while referring to Iran's faithfulness to the international July 2015 deal which has repeatedly been breached by the US as one of the sides in the agreement.

So, after the US exit from the JCPOA, Iran will have the right to continue activities in line with achieving peaceful nuclear technology without considering any restrictions.

Dennis Ross, the American politician who has served several security posts in the US administration, believes that the US withdrawal from the JCPOA 'will isolate the United States, not the Iranians.'
