MNA � Iranian freestyle wrestler has been selected by �United World Wrestling� as the best freestyle wrestler of 2017.


The United World Wrestling announced its list of the Most Outstanding Performances in 2017 on Friday December 22, 2017 with Yasemin Adar from Turkey at 75kg, Helen Marioulis from the USA at 58kg, and Hassan Yazdani Cherati at the top of the list.

The report highlights the victories of Hasan Yazdani with technical points, introducing him�as a superstar in Iran.

According to the announcement of the website, Hassan Yazdani was named the only wrestler who has had shown the best performance in 16 weight classes of men (Freestyle and Greeco-Roman), so far.

According to the United World Wrestling official website, Yazdani Charati kicked off the 2017 World Championships with three straight technical superiority victories, outscoring those opponents 32-2. In the semifinals Yazdani defeated Vladislav VALIEV (RUS) 4-0 to make his first world finals appearance since 2015 when he took home a silver medal. In the gold medal match, the Iranian superstar shut out Boris MAKOEV (SVK) 10-0 to win his first world championship.
