Tehran's Public and Revolution Courts Prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi recently said that a Mossad agent has been sentenced to death for passing information of martyred Iranian scientists to the Zionist regime's spying agency.
On the latest status of Dori Isfahani who was in the former team of nuclear negotiators, he said Dori Isfahani has been sentenced to five years of imprisonment for espionage and his vote has been finalized and he is now serving his five-year jail term.
His financial charges are also under investigation, but he was released on bail, but there is no indictment against him for financial charges, he said.
Dorri Esfahani holds both Iran and Canada nationalities.
The news of Dorri Esfahani's arrest was first announced on August 2016. He was released on bail after the arrest.
Iran and Group 5+1 (the US, the UK, Russia, China and France plus Germany) reached a nuclear deal in Vienna in 2015.
According to the deal, Iran accepted additional limitations on its peaceful nuclear program in exchange for removal of its sanctions.
It is not possible to label all international firms with espionage charges as in any of these companies foreign nationals cooperate and all will be monitored by intelligence and police forces and such cases should be identified by them, he said.
Spy should be classified in two types, the first are those who steal and pass classified information to the enemies and the second group are those who never pass any information but prepare grounds or create situation for officials prior making any decision which are more dangerous than the first group, he said.
The second group injects the enemies programs very softly to the system and our security apparatus mostly focus on such measures, he said.
