Zarif arrives in Niger

IRNA Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Nigerien capital of Niamey on Thursday evening.

Earlier Zarif had left the Ugandan capital, Kampala, and departed for Niger at the third leg of his tour of Africa.

While in Niger, Zarif is slated to hold talks with Nigerien officials on the issues of mutual interests.

Reviewing the ways for bolstering mutual transactions, regional and international issues are among the main topics to be discussed between the senior Iranian and Nigerien officials.

Niger or officially the Republic of the Nigeris is a landlocked country in Western Africa, named after the Niger River. Niger is bordered by Libya to the northeast, Chad to the east, Nigeria and Benin to the south, Burkina Faso and Mali to the west, and Algeria to the northwest.
