MNA � Russia's special envoy on Syria will meet with the head of Iran�s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani on Monday.


Alexander Lavrentiev, Russian President's Special Envoy for Syrian Affairs, who is in Iran to meet with Iranian officials to discuss Syrian crises, is scheduled to meet with Ali Shamkhani�on Monday evening.

The two sides are slated to exchange views on the positions of the governments involved in the Syrian crisis, the ceasefire process, agreements reached, as well as the latest developments in terms of fight against terrorist groups.

His trip aims at negotiating and discussing with Iranian side in order to advance joint political, military and security initiatives.
