IRNA � Iran has attracted some $6 billion of foreign investments for construction of new power plants, the managing director of Iran's Thermal Power Plants Holding Company said on Friday.


Mohsen Tarztalab said that the contracts for these investments were signed after the implementation of Iran nuclear deal between Tehran and the six world powers.

Foreign investment for construction of power plants had been declining before Iran nuclear deal was signed, Tarztalab said.

He expressed hope that these projects will become operational as of next year.
