MNA � Iran�s President Hassan Rouhani has appointed two women to vice-presidency positions and one to Aide to the President�for citizenship rights for his second-term cabinet.
In separate orders, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani appointed Dr. Masumeh Ebtekar as Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs, Dr. Laya Joneidi as Vice President for Legal Affairs, and Dr. Shahindokht Molaverdi as Aide to the President�for Citizenship Rights.
Two of the three positions had already been occupied by women during Rouhani�s first term in office. Molaverdi served as Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs, while Aminzadeh served as Rouhani�s aide for citizenship rights.
Aminzadeh previously served as Vice President for Legal Affairs under Rouhani and was later�succeeded by Majid Ansari.
Masumeh Ebtekar had been the head of Environmental Protection Organization since 2013.
The president�s appointment of the three women came a day after his announcement of�key cabinet members�which did not include any female ministers, despite high expectations from his second-term cabinet to include more women in key positions.
