IRNA � The ground forces of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) are deployed on eastern borders of the country to guarantee stability and sustainable security there, according to an Iranian official.

Senior Adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, made the remarks in a meeting with commanders of the regional headquarters of the IRGC in Razavi Khorassan Province on Sunday.

Since 2001, the US suffered enormous strategic defeats and by military attacks into Afghanistan and Iraq and paying several trillion dollars in expenses and sustaining several thousand fatalities could not achieve its pre-determined goals.
Safavi said the US power has been fading since 2025 and later power will move from west of the world to the east and Asia (China, Russia and India) and Iran is considered now as regional power in West Asian region.

He added that the US coalition, the Zionists, Saudis, Turkey and Jordan are subject to defeat now, whereas the coalition of Iran, Russia, Syria and Lebanese Hezbollah are winners and Iran has turned to a regional power now.

The major general pointed to enemies� efforts to disrupt domestic security of Iran in different political, economic, cultural and security areas and reiterated deployment of ground forces of the IRGC on the eastern borders is aimed to guarantee stability and sustainable security there.
