Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi decides to stay at Persepolis football club
Press TV- Iranianfootballer Mehdi Taremi has decided to extend his contract with the Persian Gulf Pro LeagueclubPersepolisfor another season.

PersepolisspokesmanPendar Khomarlou said on Monday that the 24-year-old, who also plays as aforward fortheIranian national football team, opted to play for the red-clad Tehran-based giantsfollowing protracted talks with the clubs officials.

Khomarlou added that Taremi has already handed in his passport to authorities at Persepolis.

Given the time needed to processavisaapplication, we hope his visa is issued in a little while so he can join the training camp in Ukraine as soon as possible, thePersepolisspokesman pointed out.

Earlier, Dutch professional football clubGroningen had considered a move for the Persepolis forward in this summers transfer window.

Taremi has also been on transfer radar toprofessionalCroatianfootballclub Gra?anski nogometni klub Dinamo Zagreb, commonly referred to asGNK Dinamo Zagreb, thanks to his great performance during the third round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification tournament.
