Senior official slams MKO meeting in Paris
IRNA - Majlis Speaker Special Aide for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian slammed the meeting of the terrorist outlet Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Paris.

Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with Secretary General of Department of Foreign Affairs and International Development Christian Masset.

Based on the news and evidence, Daesh terrorist group and MKO have started to join forces.

This constitutes a risky situation for the security of West Asia, Europe and the world as well.

He referred to Saudi Arabia's and certain intelligent services' attempts in breathing new life to dead and non-influential MKO outlet, saying the gestures are in contradiction with campaign against the global problem of terrorism.

Mosul liberation from clutches of terrorists is one of the outcomes of the stern campaign of the Iraqi government and nation against Daesh in Iraq, he added.

He went on to say that any US military action against Syria will entail unfavorable consequences for security of the region and Astana diplomatic talks, while undermining diplomatic solution to Syria problem.

Iranian senior official also pointed to developments in Yemen, saying the growing increase of terrorism in southern Yemen in light of continued Saudi military invasions should be regarded as major threat to international waters and Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.

The MKO worked with Iraqi Army under Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein regime when they invaded Iran in 1980 and continued collaboration with Saddam Hussein army by killing Iraqi Shia Muslims living in southern Iraq and the Iraqi Kurdish population and now are cooperating with ISIS in Iraq and Syria to kill Muslims.
