Iran to coop with Germans for developing water and wastewater network
February 27, The Iran Project An Energy Ministry official has announced that Iran is ready to cooperate with German companies, especially in the area of transferring knowledge and technology and developing the country's water and wastewater network.

Attending the 8th joint conference of Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia state with Iran's water and wastewater managers, Hamid Reza Janbaz, the CEO of Irans Water and Wastewater Engineering Company (Persian acronym: ABFA) said the post-sanctions era has provided a proper opportunity for Tehran-Berlin to cooperate directly.

Due to the transferring of knowledge in Iran-Germany's joint conferences, the country has already used German companies' cooperation in different sectors of water and wastewater industry, Janbaz said, adding so now we just need foreign countries for some precise instrumentation.

He went on to say that Iran has proper conditions in the fields of design, equipment and machine but we still need updated technologies of the world famous companies such as Germany and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia to deal with climate change and drought.

Being faced with widespread drought in the country, Iran should now cooperate with countries like Germany for designing and implementing long transmission lines, using smart networks, instrumentation, artificial intelligence and technologies for the collection of waste water for recycling and supplying water for the various sectors of agriculture industry, he noted.
