Terrorist attacks fruit of Turkey's support for ISIS: MPs

January 2, The Iran Project Iran says as long as Turkish government supports terrorists and cooperates with countries sponsor of terrorism, like Saudi Arabia, it should not expect to have security in the country.

A number of Iranian parliamentarians made the remarks in reaction to the heinous terror attack at a nightclub in Turkeys port city of Istanbul in which 39 people died and 65 others were wounded.

According to reports, the gunman, wearing a Santa Claus costume, killed a police officer and a civilian before he entered theReina club and opened fire at the people who were celebrating the New Year in the early hours of Sunday.

Criticizing Turkeys stance towards terrorists, Valiolla Nanvakenari, a member of the Iranian parliaments foreign affairs committee said Turkish people are the victims of the governments wrong policy.

Nanvakenari went on to say that Turkish government, having joint meetings with Russia and Iran, decided to change its policy but it is too late.

Today, Daeshterrorists are worried about losing Turkey as one of their most important supporters, so they threat Turkish nation and government trying not to lose their support, he stressed.

Also in reaction to the Istanbul nightclub shooting, an Iranian lawmaker Yahya Kamalipour stated that the terrorist attack was a punitive measure for those who supported terrorists to attack the people of Syria and Iraq and make the countries insecure.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Hossein Farhangi, an Iranian member of parliament referred to Turkey's efforts to align with the US policy as the main reason of terrorist acts in this country.

Turkeyhas seenattackson a host of targets over the past year and a half. Mostof the bombing attackshave been blamed on the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group, Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and other Kurdish groups.
