Havana, Sept 19, IRNA � Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has arrived in the Jose Marti International Airport in the Cuban capital Havana.


President Rouhani following his participation in the Seventeenth Non-Aligned Movement Summit meeting in Venezuela, headed for Cuba on an official invitation by the Cuban President Raul Castro and arrived on the Caribbean Island on Monday.

The trip by President Rouhani is aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.

Rouhani, after Cuba, is expected to go to New York to participate in the 71st Regular Session of the UN General Assembly due to begin at UN Headquarters on Tuesday.
