Iran�s heavyweight powerlifting champion has smashed three world records and�won�the gold medal at the Rio Paralympics.

In his first attempt in the +107kg�category, Siamand Rahman lifted 270 kilograms and broke the Paralympics�record�at Rio�s Riocentro Pavilion 2 on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old Iranian then benched�weights�of 300 and 305 kilograms to�smash�his own world record of 296 kilograms again,�and hand Iran their sixth gold medal of the Paralympics�Games.

Rahman, who was representing Iran for the second time at the Paralympics,�then requested for the weights to be set at staggering 310 kilograms outside the three scoring competition lifts, and triumphantly repeated his astonishing success for a fourth time.
