Tehran, Sept 5, IRNA � Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry has said there is no question of Omani role as a mediator between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Bahram Qassemi said the Iranian officials did not discuss with the Omani Interior Minister Hamoud Bin Faisal Albusaidi about such mediation.

The Omani interior minister visited Tehran on September 4.

At his weekly press briefing on Monday, Qassemi said the talks between the Iranian officials and the Omani interior minister focused on the international and regional issues.

On Mina tragedy ( Sept 24, 2015), Qassemi said the issue of fulfillment of the rights of the victims and their families have been followed up at the international level as the Iranian Foreign Ministry has formed a committee for investigating the issue.

Many countries including Iran see Saudi rulers' mismanagement as the cause of Mina tragedy in which over 5,000 pilgrims including 461 Iranians were killed due to the stampede.
